Hello, subscribers. Today, I am going to write about a great, big and old willow tree.
She is a magical tree who can heal humans, animals, all! Her name is Nana Willow Wield. Some people collect the leaves that fell down the tree earlier and make it into tea to cure sicknesses and some people lie down by the bark of the tree to heal their wounds.
“Wield” means tree in the fancy Elizabethan language,
“Nana” is another word for grandmother.
This old tree can be found in the western part of Puglia, Italy. If you look closely, you will find an old woman’s face in the middle of the wood. Its leaves are turquoise and lime green in the summer and spring, and orange and yellow in autumn. I know I’m supposed to describe how the leaves are in winter too, but everyone knows the leaves all fall by then.
Many people honour the tree by protecting the nature surrounding it. Protecting the home of something means to protect that thing.
Children either sit and talk to the tree or play by the tree. When they do this, they become calm and (if you look into the face in the tree,) it looks like it is smiling.
How do I know all of this? Because I made it all up, but it isn’t made up if you just believe in it!
I based this tree on Mother Tree from Pocahontas, the famous Disney film, and the Whomping Willow Tree from Harry Potter and The Prisoner Of Azkaban by JK Rowling.
I hope you liked it.
