Hi! I’m so excited to share with you these two things that I did this week. Here they are:
First, my mama taught me to write down 10 observations every morning, before we would start with the school work. My mama says it will help with my mindfulness and good for practicing my handwriting and writing skills!
I’m going to share with you my best ten (I made a total of fifty this week!) right here!
I see a beautiful yellow orange leaf about to fall onto the green grass in the shadows in the morning
The yellow orange leaf is now destroyed, shredded, pulverised! as it falls into the lawnmower’s path
The candelabra sits in the shadows on an old table in the morning, making me think of Beauty and the Beast.
The old dead tree branch lies on the grass with no one coming to its funeral.
The tick-tocking clock keeps going tick tick tick instead of tick tock.
My sister has been drawing lots of different shapes lately. The last one she drew looked like a hermit crab boxing, at the same time, dancing.
The aeroplane flies above our house, making not loud, not silent sounds.
The fork that my mama is holding loudly whisks the white eggs into egg clouds for me and my sister’s pancakes.
The yellow coloured flour bag paints its corners to us and sits in the new white trolley, looking like a hazard warning.
The fan blows a lot of calming wind to us and the whole area around us.
Have you done this before? What do you think of my observations?
And then, I was inspired by
and her Assignment 9. We can’t have pasta, but my mama said there are leftovers from when we could have gluten, so we boiled five (or was it six?) strands and got this:I then made a drawing based on the shapes the dried spaghetti pasta made, and here it is:
I also did Assignment 11, the yuck drawing!
Here’s my self-portrait made with my least favourite colours (pink and green- YUCK!) of a face I make when I see something disgusting (like the carcass of a dead frog we always find in my grandfather’s garden!):
What do you think?
BTW, Sara, THANK YOU for your inspirations!
Have you done anything fun and creative this week? Can you share them with me please?
As always, if you like my writing, and want to give me a treat, please subscribe!
This is so fantastic Miya! I LOVE that you took the forms from the spaghetti project and turned them into <3 drawings <3
Hi Miya. Thank you for asking if I have done anything fun and creative this week. The answer is yes! I have been doing some watercolour painting. My nephew turns 2 years old soon so I did a practice picture for him which was his name surrounded by lots of brightly coloured dots and circles. I didn't put pressure on myself for it to be 'good'. I just had a go and enjoyed it a lot :) That spaghetti idea is great! I'll have to try it.
