Lost Postcards
Hullo everyone!!
First, I have noticed in my post statistics that most of you only read posts when I write about my sister, Matilda. So, if you want a special drawing of her you can comment or direct-message me!
Back to this week’s post.
A few weeks ago, my Mama’s friend from France told Mama that she and her children (who I like to talk to even though they mostly speak French, which is sometimes a bit hard to understand, but it’s fun to learn!) had sent postcards to us, but they never came. That was the third time she sent us postcards didn’t arrive to our (grandparents’) place!
Mama was really sad because the first one was supposed to be for her birthday and the next one had come from France when her friend was visiting there.
We are still wondering what has happened to them, so I started thinking:
Maybe they were on a boat, then the boat’s crate was not closed properly and they drifted off to sea, where seagulls read them and decided to keep them for themselves? (Hopefully seagulls can read them and see the address on it then deliver it to us when they’re done with them!)
Or maybe they were transported by a plane, and they accidentally fell and then landed on a deserted island? Stranded people who found them could probably use them to make fire with, so they can keep warm, or use the fire to cook the wild animals they’ve hunted!
Or maybe if they drifted into the waters and the seagulls didn’t have any interest in reading paper, maybe the sea dragons will! Sea dragons are wise, so they definitely read, they must have butt-loads of postcards and letters that got lost at sea to keep! Would they have a library under the sea? Or would they have to put heavy rocks on top of them to keep them from floating away?
What do you think happened to the postcards?
